Good Bye Gossamer

Well this week went by fast Jake had spring break and was able to golf two days. He's very excited to start the golf season. However we did sell "Gossamer", Jake's orange pickup, to the neighbor boy. We're excited to have the extra money but a little sad to sell. Wondering why we named it Gossamer?........... The orange Looney Toon character that looks like a mop :) !!!!

"Aunt Ally" left us for California on Wednesday. We had breakfast with her before she got on her flight. It made Jake feel important that she cried when he hugged her to tell her bye. We'll be seeing her in about a month and she'll be back for a few other visits over the summer but we will miss her!!!!!

Kody is now weighing in at 19lbs 3oz. He's a big boy....weighs as much as most 1 yr olds now. Probably why he isn't rolling over yet ....he's got lots of "girth". He still just rolls to his side and then his chubby arm can't figure out what to do LOL!!! The Copper dog is also finally realizing that Kody is a buddy and not a chew toy. He's really not evil his blue eye just gets red when we take pics of him :)

Aunt Kacey, Uncle Jake, and Cousin Kody

Today Cassie was induced and everything went really smooth for her. They had a 7lb 11oz 20.5in little boy. They named him Austin Lee Landon. He looks alot like Mitch. I guess Cassie and I's genes are recessive.....We didn't have a chance. CONGRATS MITCH AND CASSIE!!!!

Five Months

Today Kody is 5 months old. Calendar months anyways.....I lost track of weeks it was too hard. He did try cereal today for the first time and he did really well. He spit some out at first but then he grabbed the spoon from me and was sucking on it. We got him the jumper for easter. He likes it but is a little small for it so we have to roll up a blanket and tuck it around him.

Yesterday was my last day of work and I'm so excited. A few things happened that reassured me why I was quiting. AGAIN I'm glad to be done for awhile.

Jake has parent teacher conferences for the next couple of days. Then he's out for spring break for a week. EXCITING!! He really wants to do some golfing but we'll see.

Tomorrow Kody will probably have a little cousin. Cassie will be induced tomorrow morning. GOOD LUCK CASSIE!!!!!

March 15th-19th

We had a fun weekend. Brooke and Trinity were blessed on Saturday,Crystal and her boys were in town, and I went to a baby shower. I spent lots of time over the weekend back and forth from Candice's and home. I didn't do alot of scrapbooking but I had fun just "hanging out". I did however have one of the STUPIDEST moments in my life. .........I tried,on sunday, to burn down our house and all of our possessions....including our dog!!!!! I was going to make chicken enchilada's for dinner but was in such a hurry to get ready for church that I left the chicken boiling on the stove.....DUH!!!!! Luckily I was a slacker and only went to sacrament but the chicken boiled dry and our house was filled with smoke. It was awful and I'm sure I will never do it again.
Monday I started another work week. Tasha and Payton watched kody for me again. I LOVE when they watch him. They take such good care of him.
Tuesday I had achievement day with the 8-11 yr old girls. We toured the Idaho falls fire station it was really interesting. i'm not sure how to deal with little girls but the fire station was AWESOME!!!
Today I went to work again but i'm counting down only three more days!!!!! I also took an infant massage class tonight with my cousin Tiff and her little 10wk old boy Kameron ....with a K. Like Kody with a K, and Kacey with a K. We had fun with that and laughed lots. The massage class I thought would be lame but it was alot of fun and I learned some helpful info.
Kody is close to having a new cousin. Mitch and Cassie should be having their little boy soon. She has an ultrasound yesterday. It says the baby should be about 7lbs 11oz and moved her due date up to March 31st.......ANY day now!!!!
Jake will be leaving tomorrow for a few days to go to another coach's clinic at BYU. They'll meet with the coaching staff and some coach's will be talking to them from a high school in Washington.
Well that's been our life the last few days I'll try to keep you POSTED

Update

Well I haven't been doing very good at the blog thing so I'll give you an update and we'll see how it goes.

I only have five more days of work then I can stay at home with Kody. It's pretty exciting and I can't wait. I will miss my co-workers. I've been there four years so we've become close friends over the years but I'm sure I'll stop in and say hi.

Kody spent the last two days with Tasha while I worked. He does so good with her and vice versa. He likes to talk to Payton, Brayden, and Payton's dolls. He also saved up some good diapers for Tasha. :) (I told him he could do all the pooping he wanted for her......Thanks TASH!!!) We appreciate her watching the little Kodster and he'll be there again one day next week. I love having him so close to my work during the day. I can go over at lunch to see him and it makes it easier to go through the afternoon. He's getting so close to rolling over, and now we have to strap him in his bouncer cuz he tries to throw himself out. He loves toys especially linking rings. Simple things make him smile and he's so happy and content all the time.

Jake's been gone the last three weekends fishing in Orofino, ice fishing in Pinedale, and a coach's clinic in Jackpot. It will be nice to have him around this weekend. We miss him when he's gone. He just recently started coaching track and they've been practicing in the gym ........waiting for the snow to melt. He's going to be mad if he doesn't get the Varsity Boys Basketball coaching job. They're thinking about using it as incentive to hire a new math teacher. Math teachers are hard to find and Jake will be switching to teaching Ag so they need a new math teacher.

He'd be mad if he new I was writing this but I thought it was funny. He's been lifting weights with his cousin on Sunday and Wednesday nights at the high school and when he gets home he TOTALLY checks himself out in the mirror and comments on how much tougher he looks with his shirt off. I think it's SOOOOO FUNNY!!!!!!!! and make fun of him. Well hope all is well ttyl!!!

Got a haircut and quit my job/4mo checkup

Well I've officially quit my job. I'm done March 25th. I'm excited but nervous at the same time. I'm going to stay home for awhile until Kody gets a little older. A little bit of an adjustment for me because I have always worked but it will be the best thing for Kody. I also had a birthday on the 18th....... I turned 25. My mom took me shopping for a new wardrobe, I got a haircut a few days later from cousin Jen ( I LOVE it!!!), and my in laws got me a video camera that also takes some AWESOME still pics.

Jake has just been busy teaching, coaching, and..........fishing. The varsity basketball team had a heartbreaking loss. They were supposed to go to state but lost the game that would put them in by one point. It was a last second 3 pointer at the end. GOOD GAME but we were supposed to win!!!! He also made another trip to orofino, ID fishing and is going to be in an ice fishing derby this weekend. Also ........it's not official.......but he could be next year's head varsity basketball coach. He's hoping so and that would be pretty exciting.

Kody had his four month checkup. He now weighs 17lbs 6oz and is in the 90th percentile. He's 25 1/2 inches and is in the 80th percentile. Dr. says everything is looking good but he does have a little eczema that he gave us a perscription ointment for. He's getting more and more alert and we love him a much as ever.
