BUSY summer!!!

The Last two weeks we've been running around like crazy but...... we're having a good fun summer. Two weeks ago we went on a one night, first camping trip for Kody, to Atomic City, where Jake's family was camping. From there we left for Boise and stayed the first part of the week. Then we came home in time to go camping in Preston and returned home to start swimming lessons for the next two weeks. All the while in between cleaning house, texturing a bathroom, visiting teaching, and golf league. Whew!!! Read the picture captions for more details :)

He gets scared and curls his legs up and pokes them in the air. I even dunked him a couple of times and he does really well. He doesn't even cry on inhale any water.

We bought this swimming pool for the yard because it has a shade but it doubled as a play pin camping. Kody loved it!!

She's an all american girl likes bugs, swims, fishes for crawdads, competes in pageants, dances, and plays in the dirt. WE LOVE HER!!!

While in Boise we went to see Crystal and the boys. We went to a nice park near their apartment. Wish I would've got more pics of the boys including Bryce. Bryce is a month older than Kody and is now walking. I can't believe it. That's amazing. It was good to see them. It was sad but it made me feel good when they would cry when we'd leave.








We got Kody in the hot tub at the hotel in this little boat. He was more interested in chewing on the handle.

We took Kody to the aquarium at Cabela's. He started screaming at the fish and his eyes got REALLY big.

SUMMER??????

Well I may have jumped the gun on the last post being titled summer. It can't decide whether to be spring or summer. ITS SUMMER ALREADY.....someone tell mother nature :) Here's some recent pics I took of Kody. He really loves to chew on his feet and he's sitting up really well now. Next week we're planning on going to Moscow. Jake has to go that way for some Ag stuff so we're going to take a mini vacation. I need a vacation, a mini one works for me.

I'm so glad it's finally decided to quite snowing and actually be summer!!!

Cassie and I have started trying to walk everyday. The first day it was a little cool so we still needed jackets. It makes me sad Kody looks so grown up in this pic:( Austin is getting pretty CHUBBY!!!

Today we walked and i had to put sunscreen and a hat on Kody. He looks pretty cool chillin in his stroller with his shades.

We had a little girl activity day at church today. It was a mommy daughter party. It was fun. We sent them on a service scavanger hunt. They had to go around to people's houses in our ward and try to mark off everything. For example... pull weeds for someone, wash a window....etc. It was fun to hear all their stories.

Well hope summer is going good so far we might be headed to Boise this next week for State track!!! I'll try to post more pics soon!!!

Kody is finally rolling over from back to front and front to back but..........only when he wants to. He's now really fascinated with his feet and is always searching for them. At his 6 mo check he weighed 20 lbs 7 oz in the 90th percentile and was 28 in , the 95th percentile. BIG heads run on both sides of the family and I wasn't surprised when his head size was off the charts :). Dr said he's doing well and not to worry about his head its not dispropotionately(spelling????) huge!! I decided to start him on some other solids so I tried carrots first and he loves them and thinks its fun to have it all over his face. Hope all is well.

CATCH UP

Well I titled this blog "catch up" because i'm a little behind on blogging. about two weeks ago cousin Tasha and I got together with a long time friend. We caught up on each other's lives, got our kids together and ate pizza. Tayton is Melissa's boy and is about 2 months older than Kody. Payton had her arms full holding both boys.

Over the weekend my mom, Kody, and I went to the scrapbook expo in Utah. We met up with Candice, Crystal, Tracy, and Steph. I wish I had more pics of them but we didn't get to hang out with them too much cuz we went to see an old friend in Utah...pictured below. Saturday we went to the scrapbook expo and drove to Park City to shop. We bought Kody lots of clothes and he tried on some sunglasses. He thought they were funny and actually liked them but we didn't buy them. My mom had fun spending time with Kody and pushing him around in the stroller. Saturday night we ate steak and crab legs at Don & Erin's, also pictured is their daughter Codi.

Kody now has his two bottom teeth and has become quite the copy cat. He now will lift his arm and open a close his hand to wave hi, when he sees mom or dad do it. He's getting so big so fast. His appointment is next week so we'll see how he weighs in.

Jake is also now officially the Varsity boys basketball coach for next year!

Here are some new 18 month pajamas we bought Kody, mostly for aunt Ally the ultimate Spongebob fan!!! I thought these would fit him for a little while, I think I'm wrong cuz they're almost tight. I had a hard time getting a pic of him looking at the camera because all he wanted to do was stare at his yellow pants :)
