Vacation

Kody and I spent the last 10 days on vacation. Over all we had a good time but we had to leave Jake behind and go with his family because of basketball starting. We rode with Grandma Jackie and Jerry to Mesquite from there we got into a motorhome with some cousins and Aunt and Uncles. We rode motorhome style...highly recommended for travel with kids......to Palm Springs, CA. We spent the entire week in California. Mostly lots of shopping a trip to Six Flags. Some went to Mexico and Sea World. Swimming, eating out, Date and Banana milkshakes and did I mention LOTS of shoppping. (BIG outlet mall) Also I had to take Kody to the doctor because he had an ear infection and everyone was passing around the flu. Needless to say we were very READY to come home. I will NEVER try to pack a kid up for a week and leave home without my husband.

Broken Legs, and stolen cars

Our computer is so junky so excuse the delayed post. I probably can't catch you up to speed on everything but the last week has been eventful, in a bad way. As you can tell from the title and pics Kody has broken his right leg. Both bones are broken below the knee and just above the ankle. and............no I don't abuse him :) But he will be tough by the time I'm done with him. He actually broke his leg by just falling over sidways next to our tub (garden tub with a step he likes to play on) he rolled his ankle and while kids bones are really flexible they apparently aren't that flexible. It took me a day to realize what he had done. I thought he was cutting more teeth. The next day he quite using his right leg and wouldn't put any pressure on it so I took him in and was surprised to see he had broke his leg. I felt REALLY bad. I thought maybe a sprain or something wrong with his foot but never thought a broken leg. He's doing well though. He cried when he first got the cast on because he couldn't move around very well. Now he's figured it out and he's back into everything. He also turns one on Sunday ... I can't believe it's already here.
Also early Saturday morining at about 4 am a guy tried to steal my car. We heard him open and close my door and start my car, which was right outside our bedroom window....no more than 3ft away. I ran to find my cell phone and Jake ran to his pickup to chase the guy. The guy drove my car about two hundred yards and realized Jake was after him and ran from my car. He had been stopped earlier in a traffic stop and ran from that about two miles down the road. He ran up the ditch and hopped in my car. I had called my father-in-law first, for fear that my husband would be harmed, I knew he was the closest. Then I called the police, who were searching nearby, and they were there in less than 2 min. They searched all over walking, spotlights, infrared you name it they used it but they didn't find him. They ended up catching him about 1 in the afternoon that day trying to hitch hike. He was an illegal mexican and drunk!!! CRAZY huh. Since everyone was okay and everything turned out well it was kind of exciting. Oh and I should add he lost his wallet somewhere along the way and it has 500 cash in it. I think I'll be looking for that.
hope all is well
Love the Landons

BUSY summer!!!

The Last two weeks we've been running around like crazy but...... we're having a good fun summer. Two weeks ago we went on a one night, first camping trip for Kody, to Atomic City, where Jake's family was camping. From there we left for Boise and stayed the first part of the week. Then we came home in time to go camping in Preston and returned home to start swimming lessons for the next two weeks. All the while in between cleaning house, texturing a bathroom, visiting teaching, and golf league. Whew!!! Read the picture captions for more details :)

Kody looking pretty surprised at something. I just happened to snap the picture at the right time. LOL!!!! This one is pretty priceless.

Us at swimming lessons with Jake's Aunt's Daycare. Kody loves the water. The first two trips he was falling asleep by the end. He doesn't back float very well. He gets scared and curls his legs up and pokes them in the air. I even dunked him a couple of times and he does really well. He doesn't even cry on inhale any water.

Kody and Aunt Cass playing in Preston.
We bought this swimming pool for the yard because it has a shade but it doubled as a play pin camping. Kody loved it!!

Little 3 old Caitie camping in Preston. This is Jake's cousin's little girl. She's a petite little girl with attitude. She's so funny. She posed for me for this picture... with her PEPSI. She's an all american girl likes bugs, swims, fishes for crawdads, competes in pageants, dances, and plays in the dirt. WE LOVE HER!!!

Caitie, Kody, Seth, Austin and Cassie playin in the pool.

Like Father, Like son. Watching TV!!!!

First Camping trip in Atomic City. Kody was mesmerized by the camp fire.

Kody playing with his basket of toys at the hotel in Boise. Notice the chewy ring stuck on his leg...this happens quite often.

While in Boise we went to see Crystal and the boys. We went to a nice park near their apartment. Wish I would've got more pics of the boys including Bryce. Bryce is a month older than Kody and is now walking. I can't believe it. That's amazing. It was good to see them. It was sad but it made me feel good when they would cry when we'd leave.

We got Kody in the hot tub at the hotel in this little boat. He was more interested in chewing on the handle.

We took Kody to the aquarium at Cabela's. He started screaming at the fish and his eyes got REALLY big.
